Auditions for our One Act Plays will be held at KADS Theatre 


1. "Day of the Moribund"
2007 shortlisted and commended in national Tod Hunter Literary Award.

Synopsis: God, his patience exhausted, is on the verge of destroying Mankind. Christ, aware of this, appeals for a reprieve in favour of Man. Satan, too, realises what is at stake, but unlike Christ, plans to push God beyond the point of no return.

Cast Required:
3 Actors to play God, Christ, Satan, a Man and a Woman.


2. "The Last Train to Freo"

Playwright: Reg Cribb
Director: Dannielle Ashton 

But there's more to this young woman than meets the eye. And when two other passengers join the train further down the line, the balance of power takes an unexpected twist.

Told in real time using one claustrophobic location, Last Train To Freo is a tense psychological drama about five people who discover they are not the people they think they are. It's a story about class and prejudice, where perception seems more important than truth, and nobody knows who they can trust.

Cast Required:
STEVE ex-con, early-mid 40s
TREV ex-con, early 20s
LISA university student, middle-class, mid 20s
MAUREEN suburban housewife, late 40s
WRITER male, middle-class, early 30s

Stage ages will vary depending on auditionees.
This play requires a committed cast who are not afraid to try something different.
The cast will also be required to perform at the Southwest Dramafest and ITA State Dramafest.
Dates as follows:
KADS- 5th,6th,12th & 14th September
Southwest Dramafest- 19th & 20th September
ITA State Dramafest- 26th- 29th September
